What Are EQAs?
External Quality Assessments (EQAs) is an evaluations of the internal audit function compliance with the IIA standards and applicable laws and regulations. It helps ensure IA function receives an independent opinion on its compliance as well as feedback for continuous improvement of audit quality.
Resultantly; the assessment enhances stakeholder’s confidence about IA functions governance and audit processes; thereby building trust among the stakeholders.
